I am Coordinator at the Persons with Disabilities Self-Initiative to Development Centre-Dhaka (Dhaka PSID centre) and a life long member of the Bangladesh National Federation of the Deaf. The Dhaka PSID centre is a part of Bangladesh Protibandhi Kallyan Somity (BPKS), which is a member of the National Alliance of Disabled Peoples Organization (NADPO) and Disable Peoples' International (DPI). My main duties are to • Implement the program according to the plan provided by the Head Quarters. • Prepare quarterly budget and plan for Dhaka PSID centre • Arrange regular staff meeting with the subordinate to prepare detail work plan for proper implementation of the monthly plan • Prepare accounting report on the expenditure. • Attend monthly coordinating meeting with prepared financial and activity report. • Arrange training for the members of Grassroots Disable Peoples Organizations to Development (GDPOD’s) • Regularly advocate with the local government and private organizations for equal opportunities and rights of the people with disabilities. • Communicate with local administration. • Monitor field level activity daily.
